    A born and raised Los Angeles native, Sergeant Guzman graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology before joining the LAPD in 1999. He’s worked a variety of assignments, including undercover details, gang enforcement/investigations, and community relations. For the past two years he’s been assigned to the Media Relations Division as part of the Public Communications Group. His duties include overseeing the LAPD social accounts, and providing training and support to members of the department on social media topics.

    After graduating from California State University Channel Islands in 2010 with a B.A. in Communication Studies, Officer Rejis joined the LAPD in 2011. Since then he’s worked a variety of assignments including patrol, traffic collision investigation, community relations, and most recently, digital strategy. Prior to joining the LAPD, Officer Rejis worked for a Los Angeles based advertising agency building digital ads, and developing social media strategies for clients. He also holds Graduate Certificates in Social Media Management and Content Marketing.
